Easter and Misc

We had a wonderful Easter. It was filled with lots of eggs, family and fun. We started by dying eggs on Friday eve after visiting with friends in the old neighborhood. I made Smiley take his shirt off so we didn't end up with any accidents. Turned out my instinct was right on, his chest and tummy were covered in dye by the time we finished. He loved dipping the eggs into the dye and then using a spoon to pull them out which in the process he would end up dripping dye on himself the counter and anything else that was close. The best part was that he had a great time. He was most excited about his orange egg and asked to see it several times that night and Saturday and was so excited when he found it on Sunday that he ate it - kind of. Saturday Sean went and helped at Bajio where he learned how to make a lot of the food there. Thanks Sean. Saturday was Jamie's baby shower she is having a girl in mid May. It was a lot of fun to see a lot of my cousins that I have not seen in a while and have a chance to show my Princess off. Of course everyone thought she was adorable. Sunday started with the traditional Easter egg hunt done indoors and in PJ's. A tradition started in my family years ago is that the Easter bunny not only hides the eggs but also the baskets. This year as Princess in so young the Easter bunny only brought one basket for the kids. The basket was filled with yummy treats, a bat and balls for Smiley and colorful linking toys for Princess. Smiley loves the links as well. After the hunt (which I didn't get any pics of but plenty of video) we went up and started eating the eggs the kids had found. Thanks Bgirl for helping Smiley find all the eggs. Then we quickly got ready for church, the kids looked great. Smiley is really liking the color Orange right now and it helped that his shirt was a Mango Orange. After he was dressed he came to me and said "Mommy do I look like a missionary?" My heart melted and I told him he did even though I know missionaries wear white shirts and he knows that as well. But he loves his shirt. Princess was dressed in a pokadot dress which had the same Orange in the pokadots. Then we went to what will be our new ward once we get moved. It was a homecoming for a Sister and a farewell for an Elder. It really was a great meeting. Smiley was very hesitant to go to primary alone though in a new ward so I went and sat with him for about 5 mins and then he was good. Going from our wonderful but small ward in New England to a ward that has 2 Sunbeam classes that are as big as the whole primary in our other ward is probably a little overwhelming but he seems to be adjusting well. We went to Gpa W's after church and he treated Smiley with his favorite of all treats - Thanks Gpa. Then ran back to Gpa & ma R's for a Easter egg hunt followed by dinner and fun with the cousins and family. This was our first holiday with family sinced we moved east. It was great to be home. We missed our dear friends that have been our family since our move. But seeing Smiley so excited to play and drink all his cousins in so much that he could hardly eat really drove to the heart just how much he needs his cousins and how much he loves them all. Although he had to be saved by his uncle Colby from running the tric into a hitch and hurting himself. Thank you Colby. He is doing great and went riding on the family walk for a mile full speed ahead. What a wonderful independant little boy.
