This week we have spent a couple hours every day at the ND State Fair
which is held here in Minot. To say the least I was very impressed,
having been the the UT State Fair several times and the SL County Fair
at least every other year. Neither of those fairs come close to what I
have seen here. We went to a bear show with real Brown Bears, watched
Swamp Masters work with an alligator, the kids milked a cow, we made
calico cloth using wood stamps and feather quills, learned how to start a
fire using char cloth, flint, steel and twine, fed animals of all
varieties at the petting zoo, played in the sand, watched pig races,
along with a lot of other things and we ate a little fair food. Most of
what we did was free that was the best part. The kids are done with
the fair and after the concert tomorrow night I will be too and the fair
will be gone for another year. Here are the pictures from the fair. It was a lot of fun ending with a great night out with the girls at the Foreigner Concert.
