| Enjoying some Father/ Son time |
Last weekend May 4-7 we went to visit Grandma & Grandpa B in California. It was the first time in a year. They wanted to take the kids to Disneyland so we all went as a family. What was supposed to be one day turned into 2 but it was a lot of fun. This is the 3rd time for Boo, but the first time that she understood where we were. The 1st day Grandma & I took her to see the princesses, which she really loved and is still talking about today. Sir was so excited about going that he could hardly sleep the week before we left. He, Dad & Grandpa went and drove the cars at Autopia where he got his own driver's license. He also loved going on Star Tours. He is old enough & big enough to go on & enjoy most of the rides.

Belle super cute with Boo and asked her lots of questions and talked with her for a good 5 minutes. Boo was in heaven although a little unsure of all the attention. Thanks Mom for helping me finish her Belle dress.
We met up after again after Boo or should I say Belle had seen all the princesses. We watched the parade which Belle really liked. Later in the evening we headed over to Disney California where Belle fell in love with the new Ariel's Undersea Adventure ride and because there was no line we went on it 2-3 times. We rode a couple more rides before settling down to watch World of Color.
It was a fun day but we were all a little tired. It was well past Midnight Central time(which is what the kids are used to) by the time we left and got them to bed. But they loved it.
Day 2 at Disneyland started later than day 1 as the kids actually slept in. We started off by walking about a 1/2 mile just to get to the park. The first time in years that I have worn/carried Boo. She had fallen asleep in the car on the way to the park. Grandma & Grandpa took Sir & Boo while we parents had a date. It was a lot of fun and we did and saw everything we wanted to. Even stopped to get a picture with the Incredibles. We didn't stay the whole time the second day as we were all on the tired side. Adjusting to a 2 hour time change plus running around Disneyland made for a very tired family.

After 2 fun filled days at Disneyland it was time to pack up and head home. We flew out just afternoon but due to delays and a plane change (after everyone had boarded onto one plane) we arrived back in Billings, MT around 9pm. We had planned on staying the night so we checked into our hotel the C'mon Inn (one of the kids favorite) then showed Dad around the hotel. The kids love the Fish pond which is in the center of the hotel.
When we got up in the morning (around 9am) the kids & Sean went swimming while I ran to Costco to stock up on a few things. When I told Wendy that we were going to Costco on our way home she said "So your stopping by California on your way to Costco." Kind of funny but the truth. All in all it was a good trip and we had a lot of fun. I don't know that we will travel that route again but we might. We got to go to Cafe Rio for lunch before making the 7+ hour drive back to Minot. Thanks Wendy & Morris for a fun filled trip, it was good to see you both!!!
