Halloween and Fall Fun

Time to find the perfect pumpkins

We started off with a trip to Papa's Pumpkin Patch in Bismarck. We met the Noel family there and had a lot of fun.  Stewart played with Oliver and Violet while Ashlyn played with Ruby.  They had a lot of fun running around, looking for the right pumpkin and playing in the hay playground which reminded me of when I was little and we would go to Great Grandma's Farm and play in the hay stacks, which was hours of fun.

Our Pumpkins we only carved 2 of the 4

We picked 4 pumpkins one for each person. Only 2 ended up carved as the bumpy one we picked we had a hard time getting a knife into, the smallest one I just ran out of time to get it carved.  I enjoy carving pumpkins and Stew was all excited to carve his pumpkin until it was time to gut the thing than he was done.  I found the time this year to make their costumes which was a lot of fun and very simple.  Stew continues to put his on as often as he can, with a few variations, Ashlyn's wings barely made it through Halloween.

Playing games with Stew's class
On Halloween the festivities started the last hour of school with a fall festival party.  The room parents were in charge for Stew's class we decorated sugar cookies, put glow sticks in balloons then let the kids decorate them with markers, we played a couple of games and Mrs. Wedar read them a great Halloween Story.  The kids loved it and I love going into his class as it gives me the opportunity to get to know the kids in the class.

After school we came home made pizza for dinner got the kids in their costumes ate and went to our friends the Jacobs to meet up with more families then went Trick or Treating.  It was a very fun night Ashlyn went with her friend Juju and their moms.  Stewart went with several of his friends.  They were able to go faster and longer.  They both had a great time.  We have made some great friends here which keeps us going and happy.  After Trick or Treating we went back to the Jacob's and visited while the kids played.  It was a lot of fun until Ashlyn decided to try and take off her poopy pull up (Yes she is potty trained for the most part but will have accidents when she gets playing with others thus the pull up) and got it all over herself and the costume.  While I was cleaning her up Stew was playing with a bunch of the boys and got a bloody nose.  What a way to end Halloween cleaning up poop and blood very fitting.   Sean was not able to join us as he had to work the night shift and needed to sleep.  Thanks again to everyone who made Halloween so much fun.
